  • Building materials suspected of having mould growth can be analyzed by submitting a small sample of the bulk material to the laboratory. This sample can be analyzed by direct microscopic examination via tapelift or cultured onto a broad spectrum media for incubation followed by colony count and genus identification.
  • Building materials suspected of having mould growth can be analyzed by pressing the sticky side of the clear tape onto the suspected mould growth. This “tapelift” sample can be analyzed by direct microscopic examination.
  • Building materials suspected of having mould growth and are in hard to access areas or transfer to a tapelift is not possible can be swabbed. This sample can be cultured onto a broad spectrum media for incubation followed by colony count and genus identification.
